There is a warm Manx welcome awaiting
visitors to the Isle of Man and it's heritage makes it a place
of both myth and legend. The Manx people are fiercely proud
of both their independence and their sometimes turbulent 10,000
years of history.
The Island is a place of contradiction - a blessed haven of
peace, with quiet country lanes and secluded bays. It is a walker's
and twitcher's paradise with an abundance of undisturbed flora
and fauna. Yet - we do equally enjoy our 'Road Racing Capital
of the World reputation by hosting the world famous annual TT
and Grand Prix races, as well as the Manx Car Rally, Cycling
Tournaments and International Go-Carting events.
Our 'gulf stream kissed island has a mild climate and offers
a wide variety of attractions for young and old alike - the
active or the most relaxed visitor. Mann really has something
for everyone. There is always plenty to do whether you like
playing golf, swimming, sailing, diving, walking, fishing, cycling,
basking shark watching - the opportunities are endless. There
is so much to discover and so many places to visit whether you
like Victorian steam trains or Celtic castles. Above all it
is a place to take it easy and relax. |
